An Athens-based collective for non-traditional skateboarders, bringing more diversity into the skate scene by working towards inclusivity and equity. The FILIKA Skate Meets are an opportunity for people to come together, skate and socialise in a safe and supportive environment. The term 'non-traditional skater' includes anyone who doesn't fit within the 'norms' of skateboarding culture to this day. We particularly welcome beginners (we have instructors to teach you, boards and safety equipment available for you to borrow), BIPOC folks and those from LGBTQI+ communities. Any types of discrimination will not be tolerated. We want this to be a kind, welcoming and diverse space - open to all abilities, genders, ages and ethnicities.
