Accessibility

Athens Pride continues to strive for equal participation in our Festival.
In order to improve the conditions for an equally enjoyable experience, we try to meet every possible need this year.

Facilities:
Simultaneous interpretation in Greek Sign Language for the opening, the greetings and the main concert.
Separate, uncovered public space for people with reduced mobility. Priority will be given to people with disability and pregnant women.
Tactile pavement will be free of barriers (on points, mandatory due to safety, tactile pavement will be covered by cable housings that will occupy 50 cm of it).
The cable hoods will be the shallowest there can be for easier wheelchair passage.
Volunteers will ensure that the ramps on the square will remain free of barriers.
Volunteers can assist you during the festival in case of mobility or visual restrictions. Please contact our info point.
There will be a chemical wheelchair accessible WC on the square, and there is already one inside the metro station.
Our brochure has a QR Code so you can find its contents in electronic format.
If you have a tent at the festival, the visual material that will be distributed to you will be in large as well as in electronic format. Please contact the info point.
Accessibility details regarding the festival’s and events access will be updates daily on the web site.

Caution:
The area is not adequately covered. We expect it to be sunny and hot.
Unfortunately, we were unable to get live speech to text, if you need clarification about anything going on at the stage, please contact the info point.
There are no shaded seats, only at the surrounding cafes.
There is no available parking.

Access:
The festival will take place on the central square of Athens, Syntagma. Easy access through the blue and red metro lines, Syntagma station. During the parade, the surrounding streets will be closed, try to move by metro.

Trying to achieve access for all is difficult and costly but we will not stop trying every year. We appreciate any suggestion on our e-mail or mobile.
