We are delighted to support this year’s Athens Pride in Syntagma Square – the very heart of the city.
The theme of this year’s Athens Pride – Παρούσα / Present (f) – reflects that all are welcome to be present, regardless of their gender expression. It, thus, highlights the importance of recognizing and respecting the full range of human experiences. Our countries strongly support the rights of all LGBTQI people as part of our commitment to universal human rights. Like Athens Pride, we strive for a world that values solidarity and respect for all, regardless of their sexuality or gender identity.
Annual LGBTQI pride events take place around the world, usually in June. Pride events serve to reaffirm the equality and dignity of all people.
