Athens Pride is completely volunteer-driven and organized. It completely depends on the dozens of volunteers (120 in 2014) for its perfect organization. Beyond the valuable assistance that volunteering provides to Athens Pride, it also imbues young people with a sense of belonging. As our festival grows every year, thus our need for volunteers is stronger. Besides, participating in Athens Pride has become an activist aspect of the LGBTQI+ community, with a continuing presence in Greek society, not only during Athens Pride festival but throughout the year.
